Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026. Coalition Desk is currently a free beta.
These terms govern your use of Coalition Desk (“the Service”), operated by Mark Bedner (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
1. What Coalition Desk is
Coalition Desk helps organizations draft, circulate, approve, and publish organizational sign-on letters, and helps recipient organizations route and track incoming requests. The Service is currently offered free of charge during a beta period. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we’ll give existing accounts advance notice before any charge applies.
2. Accounts and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when creating an account. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. By submitting an approval, decline, or other response on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are actually authorized to do so. Coalition Desk does not independently verify organizational authority beyond what users assert, and we are not responsible for disputes about whether a given individual had the authority they claimed.
3. Acceptable use
Coalition Desk is available to organizations across the political and ideological spectrum. We apply these rules based on conduct, not viewpoint. You agree not to:
- Impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent your authority to act for one.
- Use the Service to harass, defraud, or knowingly publish false endorsements.
- Attempt to access another workspace’s data without authorization.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service’s normal operation.
- Use the Service for anything unlawful in the jurisdictions where you operate.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the letters, responses, and other content you submit. You grant us a license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party models.
5. Not legal, lobbying, or compliance advice
Coalition Desk is a coordination and record-keeping tool. It does not determine whether your activity constitutes lobbying under any law, does not provide legal advice, and does not verify the legal authority of any signer beyond what is entered into the Service. You are responsible for your own compliance obligations, including any lobbying disclosure or registration requirements that may apply to your organization.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” during this beta period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and beta software may contain bugs or change without notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mark Bedner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable use rules above.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service develops. We’ll post the updated date above, and for material changes we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify active accounts.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
